Muroff-Kotler Visual Arts Gallery at SUNY Ulster Presents ‘Guiding the Currents’ works of Marieken Cochius from October 7 through November 29, 2022

Opening Reception Scheduled for Friday November 4 from 4 to 6 p.m.           

October 24, 2022 – Stone Ridge, NY – The Muroff-Kotler Visual Arts Gallery begins its fall season with an exhibition of the works of Marieken Cochius entitled, Guiding the Currents running from October 7 through November 29, 2022. A reception is scheduled for Friday November 4, from 4 to 6 p.m. The event is free and is open to the public.

Marieken Cochius’ works are described as meditative, intuitive and often explores growth forms, movement of light and wind, root systems, and animal architecture. The exhibition will include; sculpture, drawings, and paintings.

Marieken Cochius is a Dutch-born artist currently residing in the Hudson Valley. Cochius is recognized for her features in the New York Times, Elle Decor, Columbia Journal, and in over 40 Art/Literary/Poetry/University publications and magazines in the USA and abroad. Many of Cochius’ works have been shown in group exhibitions in local galleries such as Holland Tunnel Gallery, Newburgh, NY and the Lockwood Gallery, Kingston, NY.
