Mark Doty, an American poet and memoirist best known for his work “My Alexandria”, has captivated audiences since his debut with “Turtle, Swan” in 1987. His poetry, known for its insightful exploration of urban gay life, love, loss, and the human condition, resonates with readers and critics alike. He was the winner of the National Book Award for Poetry in 2008.
